Dear Parents - Our class assembly will take place this coming Wednesday - 18th January. We are hosting the assembly with Ms Danika's class from Year 3. You are invited to attend the assembly - which will take place in the Multi-Purpose Room (opposite the Gymnasium) from 12.00 onwards. After the assembly you are welcome to return to our classroom OR to take your child home. PLEASE NOTE THAT ONLY AN ATTENDING PARENT will be able to take their (own) child home. This is not open to drivers and nannies! Also, Parent Conferences (see post below) will begin at 14.30 the same afternoon - please note that there will be NO opportunity to discuss your chid's progress during the after-assembly session.
Please click on the link to access the online booking page for the Parent Conferences on 17th and 18th January.
Please LOOK on the Y5 Maths page for Notice of Maths Test covering Unit 1. We will do this test on either Wednesday 7th or Thursday 8th of December. You will need to KNOW the use of arrays and LEARN your multiplication tables!
This SUNDAY (20th November) sees the start of the annual EMS Book Fair. Class 5-4 will have a chance to visit the Fair during Lesson 6 on Sunday. The three vendors will only accept CASH. If you would like your child to purchase a book/books please ensure that they have cash with them on Sunday.
Once again, today, we have had students either forgetting exercise books that THEY HAVE BEEN TOLD TO LEAVE IN SCHOOL - or attempting to go home with large packs/folders that contain ALL their exercise books!
I would appreciate your help in minimising the number of books that each student carries and in helping to ensure that class exercise books are available whenever they are needed. PLEASE do not tell your child to bring home ALL their books! Their HOMEWORK BOOK, SPELLING BOOK and DIARY should be the only books that regularly come home. The daily math, language, science, social studies books will be available for you to inspect at parent meetings and following our class assembly - which will be in January.
Please could I ask you to check that your child has completed the homework tasks that are assigned each week? After a third week of missing or incomplete submissions I have told Class 5-4 that I will no longer accept anything other than COMPLETE homework books. Thank you to those who are already checking - I see some parents signing the book when the work is complete!
Hello and welcome to Class 5-4,
