Year 2 learnt about the artist, Pablo Picasso. They created their own Picasso inspired face and added light and dark hot and cold colours.
Children learnt about Pablo Picasso and the colours he used to paint his portraits (faces). They created their own face which had different sized eyes, noses and lips. They created successful portraits using soft pastels in the style of Picasso. Well done!

Year 2 children have developed making 3dimensional forms. They successfully made a pinch pot and 3 shapes:cone, cube and sphere.
Year 1 children have learnt how to roll, pinch and smooth clay. They all successfully created a 3 dimensional pinch pot. Children will be painting it white and then gold by the end of this week. Well done everyone.
Year 2 children created their own composition which was inspired byt the artist, Kandinsky. They drew a variety of shapes, lines and added hot and cold colours.
Year 1 children looked at the artist, Friedensreich Hundertwasser. They learnt more about which colours were hot and cold. They layered cold water colours to create a moody sky similar to the artists work and created wax resist lollipop trees which they stuck on to their artwork.
